A comforting twist on the classic cheesesteak, these Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are packed with flavor and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a little oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook until brown, breaking it into smaller pieces.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and beef broth. Mix well.
  5. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5-10 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spoon the mixture onto the burger buns and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Place the filled buns in the oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot!

Notes

Feel free to add sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños for an extra kick!
